Production Is Wrapping on FOR THE LAND

(and yes, Tracker is demanding star billing)

We’re wrapping up production on FOR THE LAND, and I can honestly say this has been one of my favorite shoots to date. A mix of old friends, new faces, and one very hardworking dog.

We filmed across three different ranches, a funeral home, a small-town café, and a few other hidden gems that really brought this story to life. Each location was incredible. Huge thanks to everyone who let us crash their spaces, move furniture, and briefly turn quiet places into controlled chaos with cameras and coffee cups everywhere.

And then there’s Tracker.

My dog. My shadow. And now, a full-blown movie star. Tracker has been one of the true highlights of this shoot. She’s been on set almost every day, hitting her marks better than some humans I won’t name, and winning over every single person with those eyes and her dramatic cheese-driven performances. Her paycheck? Mostly cheddar chunks. A few turkey treats. A LOT of love. And I’ll be honest—she’s kind of stealing the show.

Turning Oklahoma into Idaho has been its own adventure. But with the right camera work, some movie magic, and wide open land, I think we pulled it off. Oklahoma showed up and showed out.

We’ve got some behind-the-scenes photos in this post, so scroll through and take a peek at all the action. You’ll see tired faces, big grins, great light, and probably Tracker looking majestic in a field somewhere like she owns the place. (Because, well… she kind of does.)

I’m proud of this one. Proud of the team, the film, and the story we’re telling. And I’m extra proud of my four-legged co-star who will now forever assume every ranch is her film set.
