The First Trailer for WHEN THE RAIN COMES

Last summer I shot a film inspired by John Steinbeck’s To a God Unknown. I had the script, the story, the whole thing… just no title. So for months we called it TAGU, which felt less like a movie and more like a government agency.

Tonya, our producer and my now wife, and I kicked around ideas and landed on For the Land. It stuck fast. It felt right during the entire shoot. But somewhere in post, it stopped feeling like the film we made. So the three of us, Tonya, my DP Austin (also my son), and I, went back at it over a string of texts. And then it clicked. All at once. When the Rain Comes.

So with that, here’s the first, and probably only, trailer.
